Book

I'm just a beginner at this book publishing business so was naive enough the last time they announced a sale to think that Lulu was taking the cut in revenue - but delighted in that I was able to offer my blog readers a chance to buy the book or download at a reduced price.

I did want to wait until Xaxa reviewed it - but as his vacation got in the way -and as the sale was only for a few days, I decided to introduce it a bit quicker than I intended.  He's still on vacation - but will probably put his review in his blog around the end of this month.  (BTW?  He's published an old short story of mine on Aug 15 on his blog  - I'd even forgotten I'd written it. But actually?  I'm biased of course - but it's not that bad!)

Then I discovered that the sale discount was coming from MY cut - and believe me - it isn't that big, but I was pleased anyway.  Now Lulu is offering another deal.  This time it's not quite as much - but it's a 15%  reduction in the price of the book or download - and it applies until  September 15 - a lot better.  (For those of you who paid full price between sales?  My apologies.)  Here's the deal:

Go to Lulu.com and click on BUY.  Look for the title - and don't forget to enter the coupon code:

A WALK ON THE OTHER SIDE
Purchase A WALK ON THE OTHER SIDE with 15% off with coupon code AUGUST305.
Offer ends September 15, 2011.

(It appears that the download is a lot more popular than the book.  As I'm really PROUD of how the book turned out, this sort of, hurt my feelings.  But if any of you haven't read my longer stories before?  The download is a good introduction to them - at a very low price.)

I wouldn't take it too personally if the PDF version is more popular than the paperback. It is cheaper and faster, for one thing, plus I suppose downloadable books are kinda the wave of the future. However, there are still those who prefer the tactile sensation of having a real book in their hands, myself included.

I already left a brief comment on Xaxa's blog about how much I liked that story, but I'll say it here as well. For some reason, it's one of the ones that stands out in my mind the most, maybe because it's the only one I happen to have a printout of.

You have a book! How exciting! I rushed over to lulu last night but it had exploded or something, but no matter, it's back on line now and I'm downloading Walk on the Other Side. Isn't modern life amazing when it works?

I'll be happy to write you a review for this, once I've read it thru.

I hope you'll please take a look at my book too, your assistance with it was very helpful to me. There's info about it on my blog, I don't want to clutter up your pretty pages with my own "advertising."

luv,

Giselle
